William Carey University makes available to students and the public current
academic calendars, grading policies, and refund policies. The University's
Undergraduate Catalog
and Graduate Catalog
are the primary source of official information for all students relative to
academic calendars and policies. However, the institution attempts to use
multiple methods to communicate with students about important dates and issues.
Academic Calendars
The Undergraduate Catalog,
Graduate Catalog, the
Biomedical Science
Catalog, and the
WCUCOM
Student Handbook and Catalog include the official University calendar. The
Registrar’s Office website includes the official
University Calendar,
exam schedules, dates for drop and add periods (on each course schedule),
Commencement exercises, and
advisement and
registration.
Grading Policies
Grading policies of William Carey University are posted in the institution's
Undergraduate
Catalog, Graduate
Catalog, the
Biomedical Science Catalog, and the
WCUCOM Catalog,
and in The Student
Handbook. Grading policies for individual courses are required on all course
syllabi. Departments and individual instructors determine their own numerical or
alphabetic scale for grades.
Refund Policies
A tuition refund policy and a board and rent refund policy are published in the
institution’s Undergraduate Catalog,
Graduate Catalog, the
Biomedical Science
Catalog, and the
WCUCOM Catalog
respectively. For classes offered on a schedule shorter than a ten-week term,
the refund period is reduced in proportion to the length of the course. The
Business Office determines the effect of the holidays on this schedule.
