William Carey University’s recruitment materials and presentations accurately represent the institution’s practices and policies. Recruitment is a campus-wide priority, and faculty, staff and administrators are included in the student recruitment process as noted with faculty referrals and faculty recruitment plans. The Director of Admissions and Director of International Admissions are directly responsible to the Provost and oversee all units and services in the admissions and recruitment process including: undergraduate, graduate and international admissions, and recruitment.
The Director of Admissions and Director of International Admissions take a high-level leadership role in developing recruitment materials, presentations, and programs that accurately but positively represent the institution’s policies, practices, and programs. Members of the Directors’ staff are also instrumental in the design and delivery of such information to prospective students and their parents. Information distributed to interested students and their families generally comes through one or more of the following venues: the University Viewbook, the University website, campus tours, University Housing Application, University Scholarship Application, Student Expenses, and the University’s Undergraduate Catalog and Graduate Catalog. In lieu of a printed application form, a dedicated computer in the Office of Admissions allows prospective students to apply online while on campus.
The University’s website is a comprehensive source of information. Prospective students view the site for basic information about the University, admissions requirements, tuition & aid, and campus life. The University’s website conveys accurate information about the Undergraduate, Graduate, and International student admissions process, Tuition and Aid, Campus Life Residence Halls, Campus Dining Plans, and Tuition and Fees. Interactive forms allow students to contact admissions to request information, to request a tour, and to apply for admission to the University. An application checklist is given to students at recruiting venues. In all promotional materials, William Carey University represents itself accurately and consistently. Publications and web pages are reviewed and updated periodically (Minutes, Summer Workshop planning meeting).
